really giving

What does it really mean to give?  When I was small, I remember having what I thought
at the time was more than enough.  It wasn't until later in life that I awoke to the reality
that we were challenged, I guess you could say.  When my mind strolled back in time and I saw three little boys huddled together on the floor in front of a narrow paint chipped wall heater I had to admit we must not have had a lot of things, including an abundance of heat.  My parents gave what they could.  My parents gave and we never thought there should be more.  That is the purety of giving what matters.  I think that the world isn't just mixed up with giving, but about receiving too.  Expectation of one can guilt another to death.  So this year give what matters the most to your heart.  Expect to receive miracles not stuff.  Embrace the gift of life and unwrap a new and wonderful world that will give you something new and exciting every day.  Hug your children and receive a smile that will warm your heart and never tarnish with time.  Give of yourself just as GOD did.  Merry Christmas.
