changing changes

"Watch it buddy" was my first statement of the day, as I went to get my wife a coffee this morning.
When this guy with a hyper demeanor and a reckless and uninterested attitude towards those around him flew by me. With a honk and a hand gesture that didn't say top of the day to ya. Oh well I said, to each his own and went on my way. As i arrived at my destination, i was cut off by another hurried soul, who's coffee must have been pree ordered and getting extremely cold. Because he to was very insistent that the world was passing him by. And that catching up to it had precedence above all.
As i looked around at all the rude people, with so many important things to do, that a simple excuse me
would have most definitely offset the purpose of their day. I felt like a stranger in a strange land.
Where was the common compassion for people that i was taught about.Why was everyone so mad and numb to the thought that others lived here on earth to. why had the greatest emotions ever given to man been put away.  Why had changes been made to a way of life that wasn't broke, or in need of a fix. And if we are not in the middle of changing changes, then we should stop and remember what we as a nation have somehow forgot.we have forgot there were people who came before us, that are not still here because of stupidity.Trial and error braught them farther than any map quest or i phone. Take the time to say thank you, you just might be talking to an angel.
