pool's of water

we are simply pool's of water
we can grow to any size and shrink in droughts
the more water taken in predicts our power
yet the smallest pool is still noticed
when calm and clear we can reflect with honesty
and our depth is unmeasurable to the eye
if foreign matter seap's in we become cloudy
and unusable
except to prove a point or be an example
which is still very useful to gage other pool's
when not refused we can go anywhere
and we leave a trail to fallow
the trails however can be devastating and destructive
depending on the use of our power
but when maintained and managed we can do remarkable things
when clean and clear we can nourish hundreds
or destroy thousands with disease and corruption
we can leave rivers to feed nations
or leave tragedy flowing free
we can clean and wash away dirt and uncertainty
we can be the base component to miraculous discovery's
none the less we are great when we have what we need
and what we need cant be bought, it is given from above
our pools grow with the help of one true maker
it is only when man gets involved that pools begin to
shrink and become cloudy
but God sends down another raindrop
and another pool is beginning to grow
so use God as your filter and only let clean water into your pool
and that will determine your purity and clarity
if not you may become stagnate and with-out growth
just another useless pool. also be aware of the ripples
you make because your ripples can and do affect others

just a thought

laughter is the song of the heart and tears are the reality of life.
the new year is here,so laugh, cry, sing and dance but most of
all live. love your family, and forgive most of all so you wont
take any bad carma into next year. remember to dream and let imagination
lead your heart.love with freedom and give more than you take.

people

We need people and people need us
so why do some try so hard to blaim
and confuse you. by saying you said
the oposite of what you did, people
have a habbit of takeing what you say
and substituteing it for what they want to hear.
i dont mind it makes me laugh.
we do live in a sugar coated world,
wher a soft confrentation is better than
the truth. to some anyway. all i can do is
work on me,love all my family and thank God
for my sence of humor.Life is funny.

every man

Every man even if he knows the rite way
To do things, he will still try to find out
Why the wrong way won’t work.

drifters lulaby

long lonley roads and cold empty nights
lies and truth mixed with wrongs and rites
tired gripping hands that hide from the cold
empty bottles that hold the price of his soul
memories of momma and a little girls smile
drift in and out but haunt all the while
he could of done better the town folk all say
he pays em no mind they dont no he'l say
the lines on his face are a road map through hell
sometimes he's awaken by cold sweat and the sound of his yell
he walks with a stager and try's not to fall
his home is a box off 3rd by a wall
wher he goes to rest or to dream sometimes
and think of his life and his worldly crimes
like loveing so much good and bad you see
and a wicked liquid deamon that wouldnt set him free
so he lays down his troubles and bids another day goodby
as the stars twinkle softly a drifters lulaby

did you

           Did You

Did you see me coming, did you know I would be there
Did you want to find love, did you even care

Did you need someone to fix

Someone to repair
Or just to belong any place anywhere
Did you know I would break?
No matter the cost
Or did you watch me crawl, hoping someday I’d walk
Did you lie there at night and listen to me sleep
And think of the promises I didn’t keep
Did you feel second best when my dreams came first?
Did you want to drink but took care of my thirst
Did you let me stand tall while you stood aside?
With out a thank you or a word that was kind

Did you think of me first and of yourself last

When I couldn’t govern how slow or how fast
Did you not try to keep me so safe?
I knew when I saw that look on your face
You did all of these things so free and so true
I should never have to say

Did you

songbird

My Songbird Called You©
John Holman 1/3/09

On one warm afternoon a small songbird flew through my life's window, with a song so sweet all around wanted to hear the small bird sing.
How magical the sound of the melody, of that special small bird. Its song seemed to blow through my soul like a soft breeze, lift my eyes with amazement and turned loose all the dream's I held inside. It was like sailing away on a lullaby.
Now this bird though small, had so many giant features, like the way it made me notice everyday things around me as if these things were brand new. The sun was brighter, the sky the bluest blue.
This very very precious bird left such a gentle and soft memory that I awoke every morning searching for the sound of that small bird.
Searching as if I had lost my very own spirit, even in times that I could not see the small bird if I heard it's song from far away, I found my eyes softly closing and I would be filled with the softest grace it was amazing. I know to the world this story is hard to believe, but I would say a thousand prayers if just one would come true that others had song bird's in their life. My song bird is you.

You are a very special part of my heart
and that is a better place with you in it
I hope you're smiling! I dedicate this to angie.
